The Island

International Locations

In the very early days of the Association wealthy members, mainly in the United Kingdom, held extravagant private parties and events at their luxury homes and estates. As the years went by these continued, but  as the membership became less exclusively the wealthy, other members started holding small events in small private hotels, where the premises owners accepted the Association’s lifestyles.

By the mid-70’s, and now with a growing membership around the world, a group of members took the opportunity to purchase a large run-down country estate in rural south west Wales in the United Kingdom via a loan to the Association from members. This was to become the Association’s International Headquarters. By the end of the 70’s this group of members had their loan refunded as the Association was now self-funding and profit was being spent on the Association.

With the Association in a stable position financially it acquired another estate in rural south-west London in early 1982 after a long time member left the Association the property in his will. This was to become what today is called The Residence.

In the early 2000’s, the Association acquired two more properties. One a large mountain lodge in the Austrian Alps called The Eyrie, and the other a complete but small private island in the French Caribbean.

All of these locations are available for use by members and for Association group events throughout the year. All locations are fully staffed and vetted with many being members of the Association themselves. Some paid for their professional skills while others volunteer.
